- Monitoring compliance with applicable accounting standards and tax regulations and responsibility for their adequate implementation in the company's financial records
- Responsibility for the accuracy, completeness, and timely recording of transactions in accounting records
- Coordination of work, task assignment, and supervision of activities within the accounting department, as well as support to the director by proposing process establishment
- Control and reconciliation of general ledger items, balance sheets, income statements (BS reconciliations)
- Conducting postings (goods-material and other, as needed)
- Preparation of input calculations in the goods-material accounting and reconciliation of transitional accounts
- Control, submission, and reconciliation of tax records and all calculations (forms) submitted on a monthly/quarterly basis to the Tax Administration
- Preparation of legal financial annual and periodic reports, consolidated reports, and other legal and statistical reporting for the needs of state and financial institutions (GFI-POD, TI-POD, etc.)
- Coordination of preparation of documentation for audit and implementation of auditor recommendations
- Participation in internal projects of business automation and digitization.
- Promotion of paperless accounting and proactive identification of opportunities for business optimization
- Communication and correspondence with clients and government institutions
- Taking care of the preservation and archiving of documentation

Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or Master's degree in economics, majoring in accounting
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting
- Preferred: experience working in the position of Chief Accountant
- Excellent knowledge of accounting and tax regulations, IFRS, and Croatian Accounting Standards (HSFI)
- Good command of English language in both speech and writing
- Excellent computer skills (MS Office, Office 365)
- Preferred: experience working in the Odoo ERP system
- Preferred: experience in a managerial position
- Expertise or thorough understanding of the areas of accounting and finance
- Reliability, implying a consistent and responsible fulfillment of duties
- Ability to efficiently plan, coordinate, and organize basic operations and tasks of the department
- Ability to identify and solve both routine and non-routine problems
- Communication skills, including effective transmission of information and instructions, and the ability to influence individuals and teams
- Ability to work effectively in a team and build relationships
- Readiness for continuous learning and further development
